The firm is pleased to announce that partners Carter Stout and Jordan Hendrick have been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine, a nation-wide lawyer rating service.  Carter Stout was recognized as a 2016 Super Lawyer in the field of commercial real estate and Jordan Hendrick was recognized as a 2016 Rising Star in the field of family law.  It is Carter’s third consecutive year recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer and Jordan’s fifth consecutive year recognized as a Georgia Rising Star.

Every year Super Lawyers selects attorneys from all firm sizes and over 70 practice areas throughout the United States. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.  The Super Lawyers patented selection process involves three basic steps: creation of the candidate pool; evaluation of candidates by the research department; and peer evaluation by practice area.

The Rising Stars list is developed using the same selection process used for the Super Lawyers list except:

  • To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.
  • While up to 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars.
